Phyllis Woods is an accomplished marketing, brand, and digital leader with a progressive history of building, operating and leading successful creative, marketing, digital and content organizations. Her marketing and communications expertise has proven translatable across industries including IT consulting, hospitality, telecom, professional services, trade association and advertising agency work.
Phyllis’ professional growth was most significant in her 11 years at Marriott International headquarters in Maryland, where she held several leadership roles in fast paced and innovative groups within Global Marketing and Digital. As a Client Services, Agency Operations and Creative Studio leader, she led teams through multiple brand acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and business changes – with avid attention to the changing marketing media and digital platform landscape.
The in-house brand creative marketing team Phyllis led for nine years grew in size, geography and capabilities as internal client demand increased and the team evolved further into Content Marketing, Editorial, and Social Media orchestration. Phyllis parted from Marriott in 2019 and spent 2020-21 expanding her breadth of experience in the BtoB satellite technology space managing digital platform implementations, creative and marketing operations as an independent consultant. Currently, Phyllis is the head of enterprise Digital Content, Engagement and Innovation at Booz Allen Hamilton.
